External Timber Supplies
Although a certain amount of timber comes from our own resources the rapid expansion of our log business has meant that we have had to secure supplies from other local sources such as registered tree surgeons and woodland thinnings from neighbouring estates, all usually within the central area of Scotland.
All this timber is stored in a south facing field for at least 2 years before being cut into logs and stored in our well ventilated polytunnel stores for approximately 6 months to reduce the moisture content to between 15 and 20% and below.
