About Us
Champfleurie Estate is privately owned by the Kerr family who have lived in Champfleurie House since 1987.
In 2004 the family decided to run the estate as a hobby business, however, demand for the range of products being offered has gone well beyond our best expectations and the estate business now employs a number of part time staff and 3 full time members.
All the profits are currently being re-invested in the estate infrastructure including substantial investment in mechanical handling equipment, storage and airing facilities for our logs, wood fuel and woodchip enterprises.
A continuous comprehensive maintenance programme is also carried out to secure the aesthetic and environmental legacy of this beautiful estate for future generations.
We try our best to ensure the specifications and photos of each product on our website are truly representative, however due to ongoing development of the products it may be that the picture is not exact in every detail.

Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.
We accept payment by credit or charge card.
We accept Visa, Visa Delta, Electron, Solo, Mastercard and Maestro. You may give us your credit card information via phone or safely over the Internet via our website when ordering. We do not recommend you send your details by e-mail for security reasons.
When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price or where a carriage will be applicable, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.
IMPORTANT note about purchasing our wood fuel products. Within a smoke control zone wood can only be burnt on Exempted Appliances pursuant to Smoke Control (Exempted Fireplaces) orders. It is illegal to burn wood in any other device and illegal to deliver wood (for burning) to properties within the area for use in non-conforming devices. By placing your order with us and accepting our terms and conditions we presume you have checked on your legal obligations beforehand and you accept full responsibility for adhering to the regulations regarding the burning of logs in your area. If you are in any doubt please check with your local authority environmental health officer. Local to us, Edinburgh, Falkirk and North Lanarkshire are all Air Quality Management Areas. For further information on all aspects of log burning check the website www.nef.org.uk/logpile.

GDPR - INTRODUCTION
In this privacy policy, "we" and "our" relates to Champfleurie Estate Ltd, company number SC265052, a company registered in Scotland.
"You" and "your" relates to the natural person reading this document that is: considering purchasing, has purchased from Champfleurie Estate Ltd or is making an enquiry.
HOW WE USE YOUR PERSONAL DATA
We will use the personal information you supply to us in the course of submitting an order for the purpose of fulfilling that order.
Along with, or instead of, placing an order you may have sent an enquiry to us, in which we will use the information you've provided to respond to and answer the enquiry.
We may contact you by telephone, email or other means in relation to your order, for example: notifying you of delivery status, updating you on stock availability or informing you of changes with the order. You cannot opt out of these communications. We will never combine these communications with marketing promotions that you have a legal right to opt out of.
We may use your data for marketing purposes but will always provide a means for you to opt out. We may occasionally use the data you supplied, in our own Legitimate Interest, to send details of products and services that we believe may be of interest to you. We will never use your data in a way that conflicts with your own legal rights and interests.
If we share information with a third party, such as a payment gateway or delivery company, their use of your data will be limited to the purpose of fulfilling your order.
We will make our reasonable endeavours to ensure that all third parties treat your personal data in a legal and appropriate way.
We endeavour not to transfer the data of EU citizens outside the EU but where we cannot avoid it we will only do so via a third party that have conformed to all of the appropriate EU legislation providing equivalent protection to that if the data was retained within the EU.
WHAT DATA DO WE HOLD?
We hold the personal data that you supplied in the course of placing your order or enquiry.
The data normally consists of: product information, transactional information, fraud checking information, name, address, phone number, email, special delivery instructions and potentially other information to ensure the successful completion of your order.
We may hold notes of our communication with you through different channels including, but not limited to: email and phone.
We will not seek personal information from you relating to race, religion, political affiliation, trade union membership, sexual orientation, medical or genetic history and we ask you not to provide such information to us under any circumstances.
HOW WE HOLD YOUR PERSONAL DATA
We will retain the personal information you supply to us in the course of submitting an order or an enquiry, for the purpose of fulfilling that order, responding to or processing that enquiry.
If you place an order, we will retain an electronic copy of your invoice data for the period required by HMRC, after which we will delete it.
Your information will be: securely stored on hardware that has limited access to only relevant persons; and on a server maintained by a third party such as a web host. Whether held by us on our hardware, or on our behalf by a third party, it will be kept secure and protected from unauthorised access using all reasonable means.
CO-OPERATING WITH LEGAL AUTHORITIES
If requested, we will pass information about you (and if relevant, your business) to legal authorities who have the legal right to demand such data.
TARGETED ADVERTISING
We may source data from publicly available lists of contacts to use only to target advertising as described above and again under Legitimate Interest. We never use this data to directly contact you.
Our Legitimate Interest is to provide marketing information to people who have shown their interest in our products. We also have a Legitimate Interest in finding other, similar, people and we may use your email address or phone number to help find such people without any detrimental impact on you and our advertising suppliers similarly have a Legitimate Interest in displaying the most relevant ads.
The third-party processors that we use are large responsible companies or organisations and we are sure they have appropriate technical and organisational measures in place to protect your data. Many of these use sub-processors themselves such as cloud services like Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure to run their own services. In the case of payment processors, the entire banking infrastructure lies behind them and they pass data to Visa, Mastercard, other similar schemes, the relevant card issuer and acquirer.
AUTOMATED PROCESSING
We may use personal data for automated decision making; we may send you emails, notifications or other communication that are tailored to you and based on your purchasing history.
Some advertisers, particularly Facebook and Google (but there are others), are used by us and decide what advertisements to show to people based on automated processing of personal information, in order to make those advertisements as relevant as possible to the people who see them. These advertisers should provide the means for you to opt out of such personalisation.
YOUR RIGHTS
If you have engaged with us, but never placed an order, you may request the complete deletion of your details from our systems. Whether or not you have placed an order, you may request us never to contact you again, and we will comply with your request unless you make a further enquiry with us.
You have a number of rights in addition to those mentioned above, including access to the information ("the right to be informed"). If we process your data for marketing purposes on the basis of your Legitimate Interest, you have the right to object. You also have the right to withdraw your Consent to being marketed to, if you previously gave your Consent.
You have the right to see the data held about you and to receive a copy. You have the right to have any errors corrected. You have the right to ask and be told where your data came from.
You can exercise any of these rights by contacting us using the details below.
You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you believe any of your rights are being infringed.

COOKIES
Cookies and what they are and how we use them. Cookies are small text files that our website and sometimes emails place in your computer to ensure that your experience of our offerings is as effective as possible. They remember any options you have chosen for example and your password or particular interests. They also enable us to track visitors usage of our site so that we can continuously improve it. Theres nothing mysterious about them and they do not collect personal data.
Like pretty much all website owners we have always operated cookies and visitors have had the benefit of using them. EU regulations now require us to inform you of what they are and give you the option to prohibit them if you wish. Were using the word cookies here to include things like web beacons and Flash cookies which serve similar functions. Your computer includes anything connected to the internet including laptops, office machines, tablets, mobile phones and so on.
Now, or in the future, we may use cookies in the following categories:
Necessary - without these our website will not function correctly.
Helpful - to us and to you. We monitor visitor activity on our website (without collecting any data on you) so that we can improve the site structure, page routing options and processing systems to help all visitors. These cookies also help us to guide you to pages likely to be of most interest to you.
Personal - for your benefit. These cookies remember your password and other preferences and can allow you to link onwards to watch a video or join in an online conversation.
On emails -We may use web beacons to check whether our emails are actually opened and whether any links in them are clicked on. That way we learn not to send you junk. If you choose plain text to download instead of HTML the web beacon is eliminated. And all our emails also give you a total opt-out procedure.
The above has been a simple introduction to cookies, what they are and why we use them. For more information try www.allaboutcookies.org.
Rather than listing data on all the cookies we use or may use in the future you will almost certainly find it quicker and easier to set your web browser to control cookie usage on all the sites you visit. If you have a very old browser you may need to bring it up to date to use effective cookie controls.
In continuing to use our website you are agreeing to our use of cookies as outlined above.

Return of goods will willingly be accepted if they prove to be faulty, damaged, or of unacceptable standard. We would however draw your attention to the fact that wood is a natural material and will be subject to weathering and movement as it seasons. This is nature at work and should not be considered a fault.
Damaged goods however must be notified within 24 hours of delivery. Please note we require photographic evidence of damaged goods in order to process your claim. Faulty or damaged goods will be collected and replaced free of charge.
Right to cancel. You have a cooling off period of 14 days after the date on which you have received the goods to cancel the contract, return the goods at your cost and receive a full refund of the purchase price. Any initial outgoing delivery charges will not be refunded. If you wish us to arrange to have the goods uplifted then we reserve the right to deduct the carriers collection charge from any refund. This refund will be made within 14 days unless we have agreed otherwise with you.
During the cooling off period any cancellation must be given by written notice by either party. Goods must be returned complete, undamaged with all accessories and instructions and in the original packaging in reasonable condition.
The return delivery charge also applies to refusal of delivery through no fault of Champfleurie Estate i.e. unsuitable access for our trucks to premises etc. Please call us on 01506 847999 for further details.
Cancellation of any order after credit/debit card has been taken will result in a £5 card processing and administration charge plus any card charges incurred being deducted from the total refund due.
The right to cancel this contract will not apply in respect of personalised goods, goods made to your specification.
