Stored Timber

We try to keep at least 3-years supply of cut timber at any one time in an adjacent area of the field to reduce the moisture content from over 60% when freshly cut down to around 30%.

This is seasoning naturally outside in the sun, wind and rain before being moved into the final seasoning from 30% down to around 20% moisture which is now achieved using open ended polytunnels.
