Product Description
Ideal for making your own logstore or use as a rain shield. If rain is getting into your log store then simply fix this material to the sides and make a roller blind out of it for the front. If you don't have a logstore then you can make one easily and cheaply with 3 pallets and some Toptex.
Tips on how to make a roller blind on the door entrance of your logstore using Toptex.
1. Avoid Direct Fastening:
Never place screws or nails straight through the material, as it can be easily pulled off.
2. Cutting the Toptex:
Cut the Toptex a few centimetres wider and longer than the drop of the entrance to your logstore.
3. Attach with a Strip of Wood:
Use a strip of wood the same width as the entrance.
Roll the end of the Toptex at least once around the wood.
Screw or nail through the wood and Toptex material onto the face or top surface of the door entry.
4. Secure with another Strip or Broom Handle:
Use another strip of wood or a broom handle the same width.
Roll the material around it at least once and fix it in the same way as described above.
5. Install Cup Hooks:
Screw cup hooks onto either end of the broom handle or strip of wood.
Screw another two cup hooks onto the bottom face or sides of your log store and another on the top face or sides.
6. Use Strong Rubber Bands:
Use strong rubber bands (or hair bands) to connect the cup hooks to hold the roller blind down or up when you require access.
Good for turning your existing log store into a dry, well ventilated place.
TopTex protection fabric perfectly sheds water and is breathable. It consists of polypropylene filaments which are not chemically harmful to the environment. Keeps the rain out but lets air through making the ideal storage conditions for your logs.
TopTex is decay resistant, and the enhanced UV-stabilisation of the polymer allows a use of TopTex for up to five years.
