Product Description
Why not save more money by collecting a full pallet of 96 x 10 Kilo Bags - 960 kilos of our Premium Wood Fuel Briquettes from here on the estate just outside Linlithgow.
Please Note: This pallet weighs nearly a ton. It is important that you collect with a suitable vehicle or trailer capable of carrying a ton safely otherwise we may have to refuse to load you if we feel it is unsafe to do so.
Please be aware. If we can't load the full pallet straight onto your vehicle or trailer then you may have to break into the pallet and handball the bags into your vehicle yourself.
We cannot take any responsibility for the pallet after it has been loaded on to your vehicle. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure the load is strapped, secure and covered where necessary.
This full pallet contains 96 x 10 kilogram bags and at 49 kwh of heat from each bag this will provide you with 4608 Kilowatt hours of heat.
A superb environmentally friendly and convenient alternative to coal, logs, coke or charcoal with the added benefit of minimal storage space. Each pack wrapped in recyclable polyethylene LDPE.
These wood fuel logs are made from a mixture of dried virgin pine, larch and spruce compressed under high pressure to form a stable briquette with a high calorific value. No additives or binders. The natural lignin in the wood binds them using heat and high pressure in the production process.
Clean to handle, no additives, no resin, no insects, no dirt. Ideal for wood burning stoves, open fires, log burning central heating systems, chimeneas and fire pits.
100% Sustainable and a low carbon alternative to fossil fuels. Woodsure Ready to Burn Approved.
Less tar, cleaner chimneys, clean and easy to handle, leaving very little ash.
No sparks or spitting. They are twice as dense as kiln-dried logs and burn much hotter and for longer than ordinary logs. Capable of burning for over 4 hours in a wood burning stove on a low air setting.
STORING THE BRIQUETTES
As these briquettes are made from compressed sawdust, they will swell and become unusable if they get wet. It is very important that briquettes are stored somewhere dry, i.e a garage, shed, cupboard, in the house. We would not advise storing these in an outdoor log store.
Minimal storage space is required - a 10 kg bag containing 6 briquettes measures only 44cm x 30cm x 7cm. Each briquette measures approximately 30cm x 7cm x 7cm but is easily broken down into smaller pieces for smaller stoves by hitting one against the other.
A pallet of Briquette Fuel Logs only occupies 1.27 cubic metres of space and can be stored in your garage or any dry outhouse. Dimensions excluding pallet - height 112cm (incl pallet) x width 97cm x 117cm.
BURNING
High calorific value of 4.6 kw hours per kg (46 kwh of heat from each 10 kg bag) and less CO2 as wood is carbon neutral. They burn right down to the ash without the need for occasional raking. We have known them to burn for more then 8 hours overnight in a Jotul dedicated wood burner.
Please note - These briquettes are highly compressed and are equal to about 4 times their size in volume and heat, so it is important you take this into account when filling your stove or fire. For that reason don't use them whole, break them by striking them off another briquette and do not overfill.
